Monday's Scintillating Interview with CR Moss!

Welcome to Craving Erotic Romance Blogspot.

Today we’re presenting Author: C.R. Moss!

1) Have you always wanted to be an author?

For a very brief period of time, I had ideas of becoming a teacher or an astronaut. Both occurred before the age of ten. But for the most part, I knew I wanted to write at a young age, as early as I learned to read. I was always cooking up stories to entertain myself in the rural area I lived in. Had to since there were no other kids around to play with.
2) What genre(s) do you write?

I like to explore different genres. Keeps me open to whatever my characters want. Though under my C.R. name I mostly write erotic romance with paranormal aspects based in and around the Las Vegas, NV area. Under my Casey Moss name I focus on Horror and Urban Fantasy.
3)  Have you ever self published?

Yes. I have two self-published books. Fate’s Deal by C.R. Moss and Tracked by Casey Moss.
4) Who or what inspired you to write your first book?

My defining moment came when I received an A in English in grade school. I was just shy of being a teenager when I had my ‘calling.’ Ever since then, most of my choices in life have revolved around my goal of becoming a full-time fiction writer and being published.
5) How many hours in a day might you write?

It all depends upon where I’m at with what I’m working on. I’ve as little as fifteen minutes in a day to working on a project up to twelve.

6) Are you a plotter or a pantser?

A combination of the two. I do an information dump and outline as much of the story that’s in my head first thing. Then I work off the outline, fleshing out all the ideas and stuff. If I over plan, then sometimes I feel like the story’s already been written, and I end up not wanting to work on it for quite some time. I’d say I’m a combination of the two. When I have an idea for a story and my muse is chomping at the bit for me to write it, I’ll do what’s called an information dump where I’ll outline the story through brief descriptions of scenes or dialogue or a combination of them. It’s like a pre-first draft. Then I’ll work off that draft while keeping my mind open and being flexible to any changes that might crop up. To say that’s plotting just seems too rigid to me.
7) Do you ever find yourself slipping away and becoming so immersed in your story it affects how you relate to others?

Yeah. If I’m really into a story and lost in the world, my home and social life can be affected. Hubby starts wondering when I’ll come out of my office. And cleaning the house? Forget about it. LOL!

8) Are you in any of your books?

I tend to throw in some RL now and then. In Journey Across Time there’s a beach scene where the heroine loses a shoe. That happened in real life…not the part that happens after the search for the shoe, but the loss and hunt. For the series, I modeled the house after one that I’d been enamored with and considered buying if it were ever to find itself on the market. Obviously, I never did make that particular real estate purchase in New Jersey since I live over two thousand miles away from it now, but I did the next best thing. I used it as the house in the series, though please note, I’ve taken artistic liberties with its architectural plans. ;) The house on the cover does resemble what it looks like in real life. The current series title pays homage to a river in NJ that I grew up near. And, yes, the cat (who is modeled after my own fur baby) plays a part in the stories.

9) What do your friends and family have to say about you writing?

My family is happy I’m following my dreams, though my mom and one sister don’t really care for the sexual aspects. My friends are mainly writers so they’re cool.
10) Please share an excerpt from your book that totally spoke to you when you put the words down on paper.

She felt so alive, so connected to the earth and sky. It was as if she could touch the universe, feel the heat of the stars, burn hot and fast like the cosmic rays just by being with Ryan.

Blurb

Raritan Manor Ranch, 3
A woman once shunned. A man now changed. There’s a thin line between love and hate.
When Wiccan practitioner Cassandra VanAlder encounters a man from her past who’d broken her heart, she casts some spells to help herself while wishing karma would deal out some payback. The spells turn against her, and before she knows it, she finds herself falling for him again.
Ryan Keene finds Cassandra enchanting and feels he’s met her somewhere before. She and her best friend, Debi, won’t give him any clues as to her identity. He loves challenges and doesn’t plan to back off from her until he finds the answers he seeks. He's told he has three dates to win her over.
Will she close off her heart or will she allow herself to feel again?

Excerpt (Adult)

Moments later, he jerked out and away from her, then pulled her up from the floor. In a quick turn, he spun and thrust her back against the wall. His mouth claimed hers with unapologetic force. He fumbled with the fastens of her jeans, then when they were undone, tugged the material down her legs.
“Commando, huh?” Not letting her answer, he positioned his head between her legs and swept his tongue over her pussy.
Fleeting imaginings of her family and friends coming home and being welcomed by the sight of her and Ryan fucking at the foot of the stairs danced through her mind. If it happened, so be it. Getting caught only added to the heightened state of arousal she was already in.
His tongue and fingers stroked her. Her heartbeat sped up, as did her breathing. He seemed to have mastered the technique of cunnilingus if the way her nerves caught fire and flamed up from her pussy to the rest of her body were any indication. She panted. She clasped his head, ready to feel an orgasm rip through her body.
He stopped, stood, and reached into his back pocket. He pulled out his wallet, and from it, the all too familiar foil packet. Ryan held it up. “Yes?”
“Yes.” She nodded as well to emphasize the point.
In a few quick motions, he had himself sheathed and pressed up against her body. “You are one sexy lady. Anyone ever tell you that?”
She bobbed her head again and guided his cock into her pussy.
“Put your legs around me,” he demanded.
Supported by the wall and his hands on her ass, she wrapped one leg then the other around him and found the position to be quite enjoyable. Ryan pumped into her as he kissed and sucked her shoulder. She rode him, feeling the sexual energy build between them.
Her ex had never been so passionate. In fact, their lovemaking had been so normal and ordinary he never would have considered taking her up against a wall, and especially not in a location where they could get caught. It was nice being with a man who exuded confidence and gave into desire, even if it was Ryan.

11) Which actor/character(s) would play the starring role? (you can insert pics or just names or both here)
You know what? I don’t know who’d play their parts. I keep looking at the models on the cover and thinking they’re perfect for the characters. I’d love to hear suggestions on actors and actresses.
Thanks for sharing with us today, C.R. Best of luck with your release.

Excerpt:

(This excerpt is from early in the first chapter, where Luke is about to meet Ariana.)

Luke watched with interest as she approached him. He’d noticed her earlier, when he’d been chatting with his dad’s old secretary. A tiny, pretty little thing—the approaching blonde, not Mrs Abercrombie. She’d been standing all alone, gulping her wine. Then her attention had suddenly fixed on him. She’d started on the long approach, unaware, he was sure, that he knew she was coming.
There’d been the noise at Bob’s door last week. Someone had been listening, he was sure of it, and that person knew all about the missing emeralds and the map. He’d been expecting a stranger to approach him at some point, all week. And well, well, here she was. Another girl. Another one of Changpu’s little off-siders.

Of course, he could be misjudging her. Maybe she was a pretty girl who wanted sex badly, and had lousy timing. But he didn’t think so. There was a steely purpose behind the way she was currently stalking him.
Again, an unfamiliar fury rose within him. For Changpu to follow him into his own company was the final straw. He’d played nice up until now. He’d been a perfect gentleman to Mai Ling. But no more. Neither the old man nor this little employee of his could expect any mercy. Luke traced the still-painful line of his scar beneath his shirt.

His eyes roved leisurely over her sweet curves, enjoying the enticing bounce of her white breasts revealed by her sexy black dress. It hugged her trim little body and came to rest at her knees. Her femininely curved hips swayed with the help of heels that must be adding inches to her height. Pretty green eyes fixed on his face. Her cute half-smile, half pout drew her lovely full lips up at their corners.

Clenching his teeth, Luke felt the muscle tick at his jaw. His stomach tightened for battle. But, to his surprise, his cock rose in enthusiastic greeting. Luke smiled, enjoying the widening wariness of her eyes, enjoying how his fury and desire for revenge had mixed into a heady, potent cocktail of lust. Grabbing a glass of the cheap champagne they were serving tonight, he stepped toward her, crowding her.

He smiled again. Or at least did his best, forcing his lips to curl up into something approximating genuine warmth. “Hi. I’m Luke. Would you care for a glass of champagne?”

New release for Hump Wednesday!! FATED by Allyson Young

Reece Murdoch is back in Barrister, Wyoming after his military tour. Ostensibly returning to take the position of Sheriff, he plans to confront the woman of his dreams. After what they’d shared, he’d foolishly believed Candace Grant would wait, but all his heartfelt letters were met with silence. And now she is avoiding him and freezing him out.

Candy Grant is never going to allow Sheriff Murdoch a civil conversation, let alone a discussion. Oh, he’s interested—probably thinking he can waltz right back into her life. Except he’d gutted her, leaving six years earlier without warning and only eight scribbled words. She’s since lived a fast, shallow existence she’s determined to continue, and never get hurt again.

Reece needs a plan, one to address Candy’s propensity to speed while asserting his lawful authority—with handcuffs and a night of house arrest. Will the truth set them free?

                                                                       EXCERPT

Reese Murdoch slouched comfortably against the broken-in seat of the county’s second best cruiser, gripping the wheel with one big hand.
He found himself sighing. Barrister wasn’t a bad place. Born and raised there, he knew pretty much all the inhabitants. Being elected as Sheriff had been a no brainer, being a military man home from Iraq and all, presumably well versed in weapons and leadership. Both true, except he was hampered by a paltry budget, and the people he’d sworn to serve and protect were scattered over a huge part of the state. Good thing the work wasn’t onerous.
No doubt that would change over time, people being what they were, but he was bored for the most part. The one thing—person—who could easily obliterate that boredom didn’t deign to recognize either his existence or his authority, and he hadn’t decided which plan to pursue in that regard. It’d been months, but if he’d learned anything in the military, it was that an offensive had a better chance of succeeding if one gathered solid intelligence and formulated a careful plan of attack. He wryly admitted he’d come home because of Candace Grant, if only to determine why she’d ignored all of his efforts to get in touch with her over the years. Some might call it closure. He just plain wanted her, and knew enough about women to know that while her demeanor said one thing, something else was operating behind that icy exterior.
In the meantime, there was the odd drunk and disorderly to deal with, complaints about cattle rustling to investigate, a few domestics—and didn’t he hate those—and some traffic violations.
The road dipped to accommodate an arroyo, and he rose up out of it to crest the slight hill. And speaking of traffic violations, the unmistakable silver Bimmer hammering in his direction, trailing a dusty rooster trail, caused him to grind his teeth and war with his responding arousal. Damn her. She was going to kill herself one day in that stupid car, maybe before he put the final touches on his plan. Flipping on his lights, he considered his strategy, noting the way the smaller vehicle’s hood dipped in response to the application of brakes. She’d been flying along.
She pulled the Bimmer over, and he drifted on by to pull a three point turn and come up behind her. Candace hadn’t made eye contact at all, staring straight ahead through the windshield, and he figured she had to know it was him. She didn’t cut his deputies dead. He took his time, watching Candace’s profile in the side mirror, willing his professionalism to the fore when all he really wanted to do was drag her back to the cruiser, handcuffed, and take her home. Someplace safe—and easily accessible for both their pleasure. The plan suddenly came together.
Approaching the open window, he spoke in a matter-of-fact tone. “You were hitting seventy, Candace. We’ve had this discussion before.”
She didn’t reply, instead thrusting her paperwork toward him. Her picture on the license didn’t fit with the stony visage looking dead ahead. Despite the customary, don’t smile, hair tucked behind your ears, dictates of the DMV, Candace’s full mouth, with its eminently bitable bottom lip somehow quirked up at the corners, and there was no mistaking the sparkle in those baby blues. Just as he remembered her—full of life and joy, bubbly, vivacious, and all those adjectives people applied to her. But then, he’d admit he’d hardly given her anything to smile about, primarily because she wouldn’t give him the time of day. That was gonna change.
Tugging the license and registration from her stiff fingers, he decided to play her game. “Step out of the vehicle, Miss Grant.”
That garnered him a wary look, a quick glance that she instantly modified into boredom. He didn’t miss the way she flickered her eyes to her watch. Was she meeting someone? On her way to a hot date? Sheridan lay in that direction, and whatever Candace got up to, she didn’t do it in Barrister. The rumors he’d overheard flourished. Reece had access to a different form of contacts and knew the truth of some of those rumors. He wasn’t surprised about Candace’s interests, merely disappointed he hadn’t been able to guide her and take the journey with her. But he’d done what he had to back then. That she hadn’t accepted his explanation and apology, wouldn’t even give him the opportunity to discuss it further, grated him raw.
He opened her door and stood back, breaking procedure, instantly grateful for the way the door frame concealed his sudden erection, his cock saluting the vision emerging from the Bimmer without any regard for his bigger brain. The top she wore hardly covered her attributes, cried out for him to touch the silky fabric and tug on those discreetly concealed laces. The length of shapely leg revealed by the short skirt flirting around her thighs forced his hands to grip the metal until he thought it might groan beneath his grasp.
Once again his woman was on the prowl, and he was damned if he’d let her take what she was offering up to Sheridan or any other place loaded with men who couldn’t possibly appreciate her the way he planned. Disappointment again soured him, and he impatiently shoved it aside. He’d waited long enough.
“What?” A hint of nervousness whispered through the aloof question.
“This is the third time, Miss Grant. I assume you recall the consequences are for persistent speeding.”
Narrowing, blue eyes locked with his, then a flush of pink colored her décolletage and rose up the long, lovely column of her throat to paint her cheeks. She spoke between set lips, criminally thinning that lush bounty, another crime she’d pay for in the end.
“Give me the ticket, Sheriff. I’ll pay it like I did the others. Help out with your salary.”
“Step out and assume the position.”

Monday's Scintillating Interview featuring Beth D Carter!

Welcome to Craving Erotic Romance Blogspot.

Today we’re presenting Author: Beth D. Carter!

1) Welcome Beth! Have you always wanted to be an author?
Oh yes.  I got into reading my mother’s Harlequin Presents when I was in the fifth grade.  Before then I’d been into Charlotte’s Web and Encyclopedia Brown, but as soon as I finished Yvonne Whittle’s Web of Silk, I was in love.  I transitioned into Zebra Historicals and it wasn’t long before I longed to have my name on beautiful covers, writing words of deep and abiding romance.
2) What genre(s) do you write?
I write erotica romance, but I have dabbled in a little bit of something for everyone.  I have written everything from sensual Regency romance to M/M zombie-apocalypse erotica.  However, I have settled into M/F and M/F/M erotica romance now.
3)  Have you ever self published?
I have one self-published book, a very short story offered for free through Smashwords (https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/467913nmj ).  It’s titled Niah and is a prequel to my story “Gravitation”, featured in the bestselling anthology “Sex, Love & Aliens”.  An interesting fact to Niah is that the eye on the cover is my son’s.  I told him to be surprised and when he did, I snapped the photo.
4) Who or what inspired you to write your first book?
I knew from a little girl that I wanted to be a writer, but I didn’t know what type of writer I wanted to be.  I fell in love with the epic story of LOTR on the big screen and wanted to write something as sweeping.  So my first fully finished book was a fantasy piece with romantic elements that took me two years to write and ended at about 630 pages.  It’s not published.  I also wrote three screenplays and a handful of fan fiction.  Then, when I lived in Paris, I wrote a romance because that was my first love.  When it was done, I knew something was wrong with it.  It wasn’t until I read Maya Banks “Colter’s Woman” that I realized what my book, Black Leather Pants, was missing.  SEX!
5) How many hours in a day might you write?
Depends, but my minimum word count is 1000, which translates to about four pages a day.  It may not sound like a lot but sometimes it’s hard to find time to write at all.  I’m writing against a deadline right now so it’s very important to stay focused.
6) Are you a plotter or a pantser?
Total pantser, although in my mind I do have an idea of where the story is headed.  My characters always surprise me when they make a one eighty from where I thought the story was going.  It’s actually quite funny because my editor wanted me to send a summary of the two books I’m working on, and already the second book has severely changed.
7) Do you ever find yourself slipping away and becoming so immersed in your  story it affects how you relate to others?
Yes.  I’m an introvert to begin with, but when my brain is filled with how to write the next scene I can go for days and forget to call my mom or put off grocery shopping until the next day, and then the next day after that.  Before I know it, a week has gone by without shaving my legs.  Gross.
8) Are you in any of your books?
There’s a little bit of me in every book, I think.  Maybe it’s just a random thought or a gesture, but something of me is in all my characters.  I have an upcoming release titled Along Came Merrie in which I put a lot of my past motorcycle riding experience in.
9) What do your friends and family have to say about you writing?
My mother reads everything I write and once she’s done praising me she asks every freakin’ time, “Do you have to use those sex words?”  Yes, mother.  Yes, I do.  But I make no excuses or try to hide what I write.  It’s damn hard writing a novel in the first place and I’m proud I have that ability, so either accept me for who I am or unfriend me on Facebook.
10) Please share an excerpt from your book that totally spoke to you when you put the words down on paper.
From:
Along Came Merrie (Red Wolves MC #1) -  Available for preorder December 5th https://www.totallybound.com/along-came-merrie

Merrie eased up on the gas when she finally accepted the truth.  She was lost.  Miles from nowhere and her gas tank was running low. She dug around on the passenger seat till she found her phone and then illuminated it to check her bars.
            Of course.  Dead.
Story of her life.  Dead end jobs, dead end future.  She’d been taking care of herself since before she should’ve and the only job she’d been able to get at age fifteen was working on a dairy farm.  It was nice but it didn’t pay all that much, and she’d gotten tired of her ass being grabbed each time she came by with the coffee carafe.  The idea of moving to Cheyenne sounded good at the time but now, lost in the middle of Wyoming, somehow it didn’t seem all that smart.  How was it that none of the roads had marker signs?
She’d gotten turned around at that last pit stop, that’s what happened.  Too many roads branching out for the truckers and she became confused which road she’d been on.  She was always doing stupid things like that.  How hard was it to follow a road?
            Apparently, very hard.
It only added to the melancholy lingering in her soul.  It was depressing having all your worldly possessions fit in the trunk of a car.  But she had wanted to start over so she’d donated most of her stuff to charity, keeping only the items that were important.  Only she discovered she didn’t have too many of them.  It wasn’t like she had a happy childhood full of memorabilia and crap.  Hell, she barely got through school.
A glow in the distant sky lifted her spirits up.  A glow meant people, civilization.  Hopefully a gas station, or maybe someone who had information on how far the next one was, plus maybe some food.  She hadn’t eaten since the truck stop a few hours ago.
She pressed harder on the gas pedal.  The quicker she came to whatever was shining the lights, the quicker she’d get back on the right track.  Merrie kept her fingers crossed that she wasn’t too far from her destination.  She was really weary of driving.

11) Which actor/character(s) would play the starring role?
Merrie Walden- I don’t know, I’d be open to up and coming actresses.  This lady is really pretty.  Merrie is young, but life has been hard, so she’s got to be able to impart a world-weary tiredness that only comes with living through too much at a young age.

Braden McClintock- A cowboy, early 40’s.  How about Karl Urban?  Yum!

Leo Cloud Dancer- Native American, late 30’s.  I don’t know who this guy is, but I choose him!

A Nice Visual for Hump Wedneday

DESTINED – Marking Time 1

Craig and Ashton Russell practice ménage. They are honorable men who’d never compromise a woman, especially their foster sister, no matter she is finally home from college. Despite how much they have missed her.

Sinclair Renton grew up behind the brothers, most certainly never regarding them as siblings. And of late she has set out to convince them she’s the one woman they need, being well aware of their sexual predilection.

Fearing how others would judge her, Ashton and Craig refuse to acknowledge any physical attraction for Sinclair. They reject her, and she believes they’ve chosen another woman in her stead.

Devastated, her plan in shambles, Sinclair leaves, unable to imagine the men she loves with another. Shocked into revealing their true feelings, the brothers pick up her trail and capture Sinclair, bringing her home into their love and their hearts, where she belongs.
